Hub School 21 students went to the Pompidou Centre to interview the artist Jean-Charles de Castelbajac during his exhibition "Le Peuple de Demain".
From preparing the questions to filming, children became familiar with the activity of reporting for a day, with one of the most influential artists of his time.

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is a fashion designer, designer and artist all at the same time. He's presenting his exhibition "Le Peuple de Demain." at the Pompidou Centre. The multi-talented artist has taken over the children's gallery to offer workshops for children: imagining stories, creating flags, playing with sounds...
Through students' questions, the artist tells us about his feelings about his personal journey, his way of thinking about art or his relationship to celebrity. Here is the portrait of a man who left his mark in the world of visuals and arts.
“I have always been fascinated by sciences related to symbolism: vexillology, the study of flags and pavilions, heraldry for coats of arms, and hieroglyphs. In my childhood drawings, I summarized or condensed my emotions with signs or symbols: sadness with a rainy cloud, reward with a crown, gift with a hand, thus creating a language of universal signs. The perception of this language, the translation of these signs into language require deciphering like a rebus of emotions. Thinking of the Children's Gallery, the idea came to me of staging an installation of a world of signs for the people of tomorrow who are the children of today. -JC/DC
