The Louis Germain Institute is where young students from disadvantaged backgrounds, motivated by school success, come to spend their holidays to learn. They want to be engineers, doctors and are ready to follow Louis Germain' Academic Tutoring of Excellence which will give them access to prestigious studies.
Louis Germain is the teacher who provided a school education to Albert Camus allowing him to become the famous writer. It is this link between the two men that inspired Julien Puel "to seek out in the northern districts of Marseille the future Albert Camus who deserve to be given a real chance to succeed in their studies. »
The mission of the institute is to provide deserving middle school and high school students educated in "difficult schools" with academic tutoring of excellence, that is to say, the knowledge and knowledge necessary to access the most prestigious studies.
A total of 120 hours of teaching is provided during school holidays by the Louis Germain campuses. The course day is 2 euros. The students who participate are volunteers and show a strong thirst for learning and a high academic ambition, selected according to their motivation.
Since 2014, several hundred students have benefited from the Institute's campuses.
